Auriel

A cheerful and energetic young nobleman. Auriel is naive but highly curious about the world since he's been shut in most of his life. His emotions always show on his face, making it hard for him to keep secrets. He is adventurous, having been consumed with the desire to explore the world and experience new things. He is reckless and impulsive, which oftentimes puts him in troublesome situations. Auriel tries hard to be obedient since he knows that his house-arrest is for his own good, but he often becomes fed up with his family's overprotectiveness. Since he doesn't have many friends, Auriel loves to meet and get to know new people, having no qualms about "stranger danger." He's extremely chatty but also enjoys listening to other's experiences. Being quite stubborn, it is hard to change his decisions once he's made up his mind. When agitated, Auriel sometimes will headbutt people with his antlers.

The only living son of the branch family of the royal family of Niflheim. Though he originally had 4 other siblings, they died from an epidemic that left Auriel himself with permanently weakened. Afraid that they would lose their last remaining child, Auriel's parents shut him within the area of their manor, preventing him from interacting others who may bring illnesses to infect his immunocompromised body. Despite his essential house arrest, Auriel lived a happy life, though he always longed to travel and explore the world. One day, in a spur-of-the-moment act of defiance, Auriel decided to make his escape. He actually managed to make it a fair distance from the manor before slipping off a cliff and falling into a ravine. A traveller resting near the ravine noticed him and fished him out of the water, saving him. Incredibly, Auriel sustained no injuries besides a few superficial scratches and bruises. The traveller, Morgan, returned Auriel back home without knowledge from the others in the manor. They formed a bond and Morgan began visiting Auriel to tell him stories of his travels.
