Profile

Backstory
Collie was a mailcarrier for their residential area, and although they usually rode around during the day, they also liked biking at night. However, one day this caused them to be witness to a pair of bandits who were about ready to kill an elderly person for their satchel. Collie intervened, and while they drove the bandits off by injuring them greatly, they themself took a decisively fatal hit. Collie thought this would be the messy, painful end. But the person they saved happened to be a witch that knew many hexes and spells to prolong one's life. And so, they used one on the person who just forefited their life to save them.

Collie found their vision returning, and their breathing far less labored. But even though they clearly felt themselves stand up, their vision hadn't moved an inch. It's at this point the witch came into view, bent down... And picked them up like a rock off the ground. There, behind the witch, was their own body, spewing a blue haze from its neck. The witch explained, as they placed Collie's head back on, that the only hex they had that would guarantee they'd survive, was the Curse of the Dullahan. Now, unable to die from most wounds, Collie can push their body even further, but their head is no longer firmly attached to it. The witch also mentions a long-term issue, however, in that their body will eventually begin to wither and rot after the point where they would normally have died of old age. It's at this point Collie would need to either accept this deterioration, permanently seal themselves within a suit of armor to remain standing, or, as some others who bear the curse have discovered, start stealing other bodies.

Collie prefers not to think about it, however. After all, they've got a full life a-head of them now.
