Arthur is usually a logical, patient, cunning, persistent, strategic, caring and loving father, however he's also cynical and unpleasant, mostly when he's inside a crowded room and fears all the guests' eyes are set on him. This makes him act on impulse and snap, especially when he doesn't have everything under control, which causes him to come out as disrespectful, therefore not someone engaging to be with. Not even his son or right-hand man are safe when this happens, although he shows to be conscious of what he has done afterwards and often overthinks about it.
Nevertheless, when he's at ease in his palace, he shows to be a pleasant company: he treats other nicely, listens to their stories, plays chess or spends time together when the occasion comes. Overall, he shares a lot of common interests with Cyril and Sorel, which makes him even more appreciated when they spend time with each other.
BIOGRAPHY
Arthur is the second and last son of the Melanopterus royal family. At first, everything was fine and Arthur lived a peaceful childhood, however his father slowly started to feel disgusted and ashamed towards the young prince because, unlike his older brother, he didn't look strong enough to be his son. That's when Arthur's childhood came to an end, replaced by seven years of physical abuse which, according to his father, should have made him stronger. Of course, this would only led to his demise.
Years passed and one day, Arthur had enough of it. He started planning a way to kill his father and finally put an end to his suffering. Relief was what he initially felt once the previous king stopped breathing, but once Arthur realised what he had accomplished, fear, regret and guilt grew stronger inside of him. Still, he could not tell anyone about the murder, so he just kept it all for himself, fighting every single day with the burning memories of his horrendous plan.
Yet, no matter how emotional unstable he was and how much his father had damaged him, he still had will to live and possibly recover. After the murder, he worked on himself for a bunch of years, trying to get over his trauma and live a normal and peaceful life. Finally, when he was ready to take his role, he became the grand duke of a grand duchy he inherited from his father. This is where he would meet the love of his life, Eleonor Montfort, a duchess he casually encounters at a bath he himself organised. After some time, they married and Eleonor took the name as Grand Duchess Melanopterus.
Because of Arthur lack of sexual desire and troubled childhood, the married couple lived alone for almost 12 years before the grand duke finally made up his mind, and so Cyril was born. Both the parents were enthusiastic about the new-born. Unfortunately, things went down hill; His wife died five years later due to a deadly disease and Arthur was devastated. It took him a while to recover but when he came back for his son, he never left his side.
To this day, Arthur and Cyril share a wonderful father and son relationship.
