Verebriva's current Crown, who won the title from the previous leader through a duel. Interested in furthering his family's legacy, and plans to name one of his nephews (whom he adores) as heir. Fascinated by Saen and does consult him occasionally, but overall thinks of him as a tad outdated and that maybe the guy should get resting in peace, considering how old he is. Is sure Saen sees right through his machinations, which feeds some paranoia.
Lacks much charisma - in fact, generally comes off as suspicious - but Verebriva venerates warriors and he did win the duel, so he has the begrudging respect of the Crown's guard and the military... though how long it'll take for a usurper to rise from the shadows is only a matter of time, as he figures.
Enjoys being around his brother and sister-in-law. Is eager to cement his family and their name as a proud lineage of Crowns, who purged the witch Mene Herne from their borders. Ideally they'd also root out Marary and murder him, but Saen would kill him for trying to arrange that.
