Gender: Male

Nature: Relaxed

Height: 8'2" / 250cm

Pokédex entry
"Similarly to their on-land cousins, the Camerupt, Hydromel have large rock covered backs that are very hot. However, they frequently live underwater, where their heated fissures on their back attract life to grow and thrive around them from the cold depths of the ocean they are found in."

Moves:

  1. Bubble Beam - Bubble Beam deals damage and has a 10% chance of lowering the target's Speed by one stage. Stats can be lowered to a minimum of -6 stages each.
  2. Scald - Scald deals damage and has a 30% chance of burning the target. Fire-type Pokémon, those with the ability Water Veil or those behind a Substitute cannot be burned. If the user is frozen, Scald can be used and will thaw out the Pokémon before attacking.
  3. Fissure - If it hits, Fissure is guaranteed to make the opponent faint. It is more likely to hit Pokémon that are of a lower level than the user.
  4. Ancient Power - Ancient Power deals damage and has a 10% chance of raising all the user's stats at once - Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense and Speed - by one stage each. Stats can be raised to a maximum of +6 stages each.
Abilities:
  1. Solid Rock - Solid Rock reduces the damage taken from super-effective attacks by 25%.
  2. Torrent - Torrent increases the power of Water-type moves by 50% (1.5×) when the ability-bearer's HP falls below a third of its maximum (known in-game as 'in a pinch').
Hidden Ability: Sheer Force - Sheer Force increases the power of moves that have beneficial secondary effects by 30%, but removes those additional effects. If the user is holding a Life Orb and uses an attack that activates Sheer Force, it will not receive the 10% damage from Life Orb, but it gets boosts from both Life Orb and Sheer Force (total of 69% base power increase).

Item: Hydromelite - Enables Hydromel to Mega Evolve during battle.

Headcanons
  • Hydromel are considered Omnivores, as they can eat the crabs and fish that are attracted to their heat in the colder waters, but also eat algae and seaweed that they come across. This trend follows Hydromel above water, which namely eat grass/hay or small enough animals.
