Profile
Shakespierre
Stats
Shakespierre is a biologically-engineered dwarf dinosaur who lives in Luminea with his owner, Claude. Nobody is sure what species of dinosaur he is exactly. He has a deep interest in the arts and takes after the dramatic performances of his owner and other various actors.
Like his owner, he has a charitable heart and won't turn down the chance to help someone out. He has a special reputation among the strays in the city.
Even though he's small, it wouldn't be a good idea to pick on him...
He doesn't speak "common" and only vocalizes with sounds. Because of this, he relies more heavily on body language and practices some sign language with his owner, Claude, and his friend, Cassiel.
Shakespierre currently resides in the city of Luminea with Claude "Silver" Magnani in a fancy high-rise penthouse. He sometimes comes downtown to visit the studios or his favorite places.

Design Notes
- Shakespierre's ruff collar is not optional.
- He has exactly 14 back stripes.
- He can be drawn with claws! They're the same orange as his stripes.
Trivia
- Shakespierre is orange because it's his owner's favorite color.
- Due to being biologically-engineered, he is sterile.
- He's really good at memorizing things and likes to quote from his favorite books/shows/movies. (Not that people can understand him.)
- While unable to speak "common", there are a few residents in Luminea who can somehow understand him!
Nothing to see here!
Shakespierre is a genetically-engineered dwarf dinosaur, only slightly larger than a house cat. He has little black eyes and a yellow tongue; he has orange claws that are kept well-trimmed. He has a light orange body, covered in soft, leathery scales, and exactly 14 orange stripes from his shoulders to the tip of his tail.
Due to being genetically engineered, Shakespierre is an impossible mix of genetics and is also sterile as a result. He has no average lifespan and may be able to live to an infinite physical age, as long as he remains healthy. His mental age is higher than his physical age.
Shakespierre always wears his white ruff collar and doesn't take it off unless he's at home. He's pretty much naked without it.
It was a special gift from his owner, Claude, for his very first birthday.
Shakespierre does not have any powers or special abilities!
Shakespierre is a very social dinosaur who takes after his owner, Claude, in many ways. He shares the same charm and charitable heart, and he mimics his owner's skills in acting. He likes to be dramatic and is scarily good at faking emotions; he practices a lot at home. He's fully aware of his cuteness and plays it up whenever he wants. He loves giving and receiving hugs.
He doesn't like being alone, so he tends to follow people around. He is good with children but not necessarily good at looking after them, since he's a bit too small to deal with rowdy kids. He has a good reputation among the city strays and brings them supplies, like food and comfort items, once in a while.
Shakespierre cannot speak "common," say full words, or write (yet.) He can only vocalize with a few sounds. He often struggles to communicate with others. To make up for his lack of speech, he practices sign language with Claude and Cassiel and relies more on body language. He is fairly good at reading body language as a result and picks up on people's "tells." He'll shy away from people who are lying and goes with his gut instinct to stay out of trouble.
Very few people in Luminea can understand him well enough.
(NOTE: The sign language he uses is not ASL, but it is his world's close equivalent still invented by Humans!)
Shakespierre is a lot more intelligent and observant than people think, but he's held back by his inability to communicate his thoughts. and has a good memory. He takes a lot of mental notes and has a great interest in art and theatre. He loves reading and is a huge fan of Whitefeather's writings. His favorite genres are mystery, fantasy, and sci-fi.
His favorite food is seafood, especially shellfish. He often orders clam chowder at his favorite restaurant. If offered, he also won't turn down sweets.
He hates cheese and sour & spicy foods, though.
Likes
his ruff collar, the city strays, board games, pedicures, hugs, sweets, seafood (especially shellfish), being dramatic, acting, theatre, musicals, parties
Dislikes
really sour & spicy foods, cheese, his tail being stepped on, being misunderstood, failing to communicate
Shakespierre lives in a fancy penthouse with his Human owner, Claude, in the city of Luminea. It is a high-rise penthouse with two floors, a huge balcony, and an open rooftop. The rooftop isn't considered a part of their property, though, since it's public access to everybody else living in the apartment complex via elevator.
(Claude always leaves a small table or a chair outside of the penthouse door for Shakespierre to reach the door.)
Shakespierre spends only half his time at home and likes going outside. His favorite place to hang out is at the restaurant near the shopping district, because they serve a large variety of foods, including seafood. Seafood is rare and expensive in Luminea, so it's the only place that does.
When Claude has a filming day, Shakespierre walks to the studio and waits for him. Sometimes, he'll even watch behind the scenes. As Claude's companion, he's allowed in and out of the staff areas without an ID.
Shakespierre was biologically engineered in Chromeill as a personal Christmas gift for his owner, Claude "Silver" Magnani. He has followed and lived with his owner since, as a roommate or - as Claude puts it - an adopted child.
Shakespierre's first year was spent growing up in Chromeill. Though he doesn't remember much of his past there, because he was only a newborn then. He grew quickly, and Claude had already made a choice to move to Luminea, the sister city, with a few other people.
Once they made it to Luminea, Claude rented a small apartment for them to stay in while he searched for a new job. Shakespierre spent most of the first two months alone, but he got along with the neighbors just fine.
Despite being only two years old by then, Shakespierre never struggled to adapt to the new city, since biologically engineered animals seemed to learn faster than normal. He quickly became independent and was eventually allowed to roam, with his own key to the place.
After Claude got his job as an actor again, they moved into a bigger, fancier place - a penthouse, and they still currently live there.
(There's a lot more stuff after this, but it's just recent silly stuff & interactions - not too important for his backstory!)
A celebrity actor and Shakespierre's owner. Claude is basically Shakespierre's dad. He raised him as a baby and has looked out for him since. Though Shakespierre can take care of himself now, he still goes to Claude for comfort when he's feeling sad and continues to idolize him.
Claude also buys books by his favorite author, Whitefeather, for him!
Shakespierre and Cassiel are close friends and share their lack of being able to speak "common." They communicate mainly through body language and signals that are only between them. He has asked more than once for Cassiel to move into the penthouse with him, but Cassiel has always denied the offer. Shakespierre is unaware that Cassiel is a former angel.
Shakespierre always visits the strays when he's in the city and brings meal leftovers and other supplies to Cassiel.
