Profile

This Irie goes by the name of Nenia or Mourning Dove, offspring of Lethe and Crow, the Iries of Memory.

This irie is known as the irie of loss or the irie of mourning. A child of the two Iries of memory, she exhibits qualities from both the light and the dark aspects of memory that they symbolize, and represents the memory of a lost loved one. There is a light from the happy reminiscence of that person, but also the darkness of sorrow knowing that they are gone forever. Her home is in the center of a graveyard, and every day after tending to her tree, she goes out to honor the dead by tending to the grounds and putting flowers on the graves, which she keeps alive with her tears. It is also said that she will sometimes sit by the graves and sing to them, so as to keep them company.
