Early Life

Tigerkit and his brother Rabbitkit were born to Rainstripe, the leader's brother, and an unnamed silver she-cat who died shortly after giving birth.
With Lightningstar being their uncle, the two of them grew up quite sheltered. Tigerkit, initially being the weaker one, felt like his wit and sharp tongue got him into trouble unfairly, not responding well to his father focusing his attention on his more popular brother.
After their mother passed away, Rainstripe became increasingly grumpy and harsh on both his sons, but since Tigerkit was the mischievous one he also usually ended up being the one who had to deal with his dad's moods. Eventually, Rainstripe stopped coming to the nursery altogether, making Tigerkit feel like his father was ashamed of him.

When he was made an apprentice, his mentor became Piranhaleap, a sharp talker and quite talented fighter.
With his mediocre skills, Tigerpaw quickly saw himself as a failure in his father's eyes, who passed on no opportunity to take Rabbitpaw's side over his brother's in everything and got Tigerpaw to the point where he contemplated leaving the clan - until, one night, he woke up somewhere special.
The Dark Forest.
A she-cat named Deerblood talked him into the mindset of his clan believing him to be useless, his father being ashamed of him and his brother not caring enough to do something about it. With newfound motivation, Tigerpaw began to get stronger, smarter and more devious, quickly outclassing Rabbitpaw in both physique and skills. At the same time his mind got darker, his tone sharper and his clanmates started to truly worry about the path he took. His reputation within the clan got worse every day and the spite he had for them didn't help at all.

A light in the dark

When Tigerpaw was 8 months old, two rogues were picked up by another apprentice near the OwlClan border: a tabby tom with the name Skulk and a she-cat called Breeze.
From the moment they met in the medicine den, Tigerpaw and Breeze seemed to have a strange connection. Where the other cats were offended or scared off by his rough tone, Breeze seemed to seek it out and threw punches just as well as she took them.
