Bumpkin

Bumpkin is just the name the ghosts call him-- the ones that come out of his head, that is.

Bumpkin is a really sad fellow. He can never get a break as he's always constantly being hounded by the ghosts that come out of his head. In reality, the "ghosts" that come out of Bumpkin's head are actually materialized negativity that he's constantly feeling. In short, his negative emotions.

When Bumpkin was a baby, he was killed by negligence of his child owner, nothing to not be expected, but nonetheless he died. The child, heartbroken that her first ever pet had passed on had asked her father about how to get him back. However, her father, knowing there was no way to bring him back made up a white lie about stitching another "heart" inside of the creature, and that heart would bring him back. Unknowingly of this white lie, the girl assumed that any sort of heart would do-- including that of an odd flower-looking object she found one day in the forest. So, bringing back the object, the little girl pleaded her father to stitch in the new "heart" to bring back her beloved pet. Her father, knowing the "truth" denied the deed, claiming it was "better if his soul rested". However, the girl refused to accept this and, one day, managed to snatch a small knife from the kitchen.

Not knowing how to do what she was trying to do, the little girl cut and cut, unable to find the correct place to put the "heart". His essence dropped everywhere, mangled from the cutting. Soon enough, the little girl gave up in disappointment and went to admit to her dad what she had done. As soon as her father had entered the room and seen the mess, he left to retrieve his sewing kit to patch up the corpse of the once living pet.

There was a lot of sweeping to be done to get the stuffing off the floor.
