Personality

Gardenia is a tiny, yet very energetic bean. She loves to be active and help other beings, especially flowers! She could ramble about them for hours and knows a lot about them, especially really sensitive ones! She often calls them her siblings, since she claims she can senses the thoughts and feelings of them. And just like her flowers, Gardenia can also be really sensitive. She loves to cuddle and get comfy, but scream at her and she will get really shy and maybe even anxious. She is also a crybaby, but she hates being called that-

Another thing about her is that she loves reading stories, especially mystery stories with a romantic touch. She is all in for the fluff and is always happy about getting books and new stories, which she collects in her little "rabbit hole", as she calls it. This is also her home, where she lays in front of on sunny days (where she is usually super lazy and even sleepy) or where she hides, when something scary happens. You see, she doesn't admit it, but she is easily scared. She always claims she would fight against everything, but when something scares her, she tries to hide. She would love to help, but she is just too scared. The only time she might not be scared is on rainy days. For some reason, on those days, she becomes a literal workaholic and even is ready to fight against evil beings with her hidden powers.

Current Situation

Currently, Gardenia helps with the defence of the Garden. She heard about the rumours of the ice souls getting closer, and so she helps the plants to become stronger and helps strengthen the walls around the garden. She is really scared of what might come, but she tries not to show it. After all, she is a warrior at heart!

Besides this, she talks a lot to the other habitants of the garden, to see if they feel the same. Also, she likes their company. And so, she talks mostly to Lavender, who openly shows how scared she is of the happenings. Both comfort each other and take care of their flowers together, and it seems like they really become good friends.

Creation

Gardenia's story is quite simple. I searched once again for characters to buy and found a real cutie in this sweetie made by mousu on Deviantart. Back then, Gardenia was up for offer and, according to the person I bought her from, was worth 15$. I paid 20$ and got this little fluffy fella!

Hydrated Roses

On rainy days, Gardenia becomes the most active. A true workaholic, who is also super motivated and super brave! The opposite can be seen on sunny days, where she mostly sleeps and/or is just lazy.

Flowerwhisperer

Claims to sense the thoughts and feelings of flowers. This is also the reason she often exactly knows what they need. In general, she knows a lot about flowers, especially sensitive ones.

Pollen Poof

Able to cast pollen magic. Usually, she uses it to grow more flowers. But she can also use it as a weapon. For example, she can cast pollen which explode or burn down in flames!

Little Shapeshifter

She is able to either walk on two feet and look like an anthro, or walk on four paws and look like a feral.

Floating sleepy

When she daydreams too much or falls asleep, chances might be she starts to slightly float above the ground. As soon as she notices or wakes up, she falls back on the ground.

Bubble Magic

Can create bubbles around her so she has less noise around her. Also able to catch others and insects with bubbles!

Backstory

Gardenia always lived in Garden Eve. She was born there out of a huge rose, and she could never imagine living elsewhere. Even as a kid, she was always happy to live in the garden and shared her happiness and optimism with everyone. She could never imagine evil or bad things existing in the world. That changed, when the ice souls attacked the first time.

They didn't do much damage, but Gardenia saw those monsters the first time and her being shocked was an understatement. Ever since, she is more scared and shy, but she doesn't try to show it. She wants others to see her as a warrior, a being, who can help others who are just as scared as her! She knows, she can fight! But... something in her is just too scared to try. Only the rain gives her the courage to try.

Species Lore

Flower Kemonos are a subspecies from the more known Kemonos. Those little fluffy companions are known for having flowers all over their body and know a lot about nature and plants in general. Mostly, they are also one with nature and can communicate with it in some way. They also know super strong magic, however, most Flower Kemonos either keep it hidden or are not that confident about it. They also get impacted by weather a lot, but in different ways. While some Flower Kemonos become super active in rain, others become emotional or just lazy. They are really sensitive to weather.

Gardenia is a flower kemono with very sensitive flowers on her. And so, she knows a lot about sensitive plants and can get along with them the best! But that also makes her even more sensitive to weather.
