Byte was created on Planet Grelbin, but was suddenly abandoned by his creator before he could be activated. His body spent years sitting on a messy desk in a run-down shelter, until one day a bolt of lighting from a thundersnow brought him to life. He was curious about the world around him from the moment he was activated, and immediately went out into the storm to explore his home. Somehow every single danger of the snow fields seemed to narrowly avoid him, and he fell deeply in love with all of the beautiful things he saw. So in love that he hardly ever acknowledged the deadly Y.E.T.I.s and Leviathans living alongside him.

That is, until the day a mysterious ship landed on the planet. Byte curiously explored its interior, accidentally locked himself inside a storage compartment, and was carried across the galaxy to Planet Endako. It was here that Byte was finally found by the ship’s pilot - a scientist working for Megacorp. The scientist brought Byte to his lab and offered to fix up the little robot as well as get him a position at Megacorp. He missed Grelbin, but couldn’t deny he was also curious to see what else the world had to offer him, and agreed.

Byte currently works in Canal City on Notak as a salesbot.
