- Newly recruited into the Order of the Lepidoptera, Tula has a well earned reputation as a headstrong force of nature unto herself. Raised in the city of Sparrows Gale alongside the Order's windfall chapter, she considers it's members family as much as she does the Aunt and Uncle who took her in as a child. She grew up inspired by what she saw as the Order's tenets of justice and its devotion to the protection of peace, so much so that her intention to join its ranks was well known long before she was old enough to take up the cloak. Perhaps persistent to a fault, Tula is guided by a need to uphold what she believes is right, and her stubbornness is only matched by her devoted loyalty to the ones she cares about. For better or worse, she does not hesitate to leap headfirst, a trait which has drawn her back into the orbit of her childhood friend Nero and towards an unfamiliar (and infinitely more questionable) crowd.
- Her uncle is one of the Gale's stable masters, raising Tula around the various birds and rodents kept as mounts in the city. Tula is as enamored with the birds and flying as she is with the people who inspired her to join the Order, so it should have come as no surprise to them when she took in an injured fledgling blue jay. Affectionately named Thistle, owing to her fickle temperament, the jay has been one of Tula's closest companions since and the two share a reputation for daring, if not reckless, feats of flight.
- Favors a sword for combat, occasionally paired with some of Nero's brews for additional flash and substance. What she lacks in finesse (owing to limited experience) she makes up for in enthusiasm and creativity.
- Tula has something of a black and white view of right and wrong. She feels nothing halfway, and struggles to stay impartial when something strikes her as wrong. Limited life experience and her proximity to the Windfall Chapter of the Order over the course of her life has shaped her perspective, causing her to view it idealistically and miss where things are actually shades of grey.
