Profile

Backstory
His name was revered and despised in equal amounts. But it was feared by all. Gieg was the king of his stomping grounds, the only person who could match him, he took on as a brother, ensuring no one would dare touch either of them. But, he was fine with this. It just meant he could laze about, extorting other demons for tribute under the threat of using his impressive mind and overwhelming strength to annihilate them. Or so he thought. One day, a creature appeared before him, challenging him with its mere presence. Not even sensing an ounce of power from it, he laughed and attempted to simply crush it.

It phased through his claws, and yet his claws were cleanly split apart as they passed through.

His brother attempted to help, but was knocked prone and incapacitated. Enraged, feeling gallons of adrenaline course through his body, he unloaded upon the thing with everything he had, only to be met with a clean blow to his neck, severing his head. He saw the opportunistic vermin below waiting to take him, and let himself pass out. But as fate would have it, he was summoned forth before he was plunged into their hungry maws. He regained consciousness, feeling the sheer amount of power he lost. Worse yet, he found himself unable to do much in whatever form he was taking currently, only to stew upon his failures, and his fears. That is, until the creature he was attached to awoke.

It had no memory, no past, and a weak body and mind, being little else than an addled soul and a decrepit skeleton. But Gieg felt something familiar within it that made him dare not attack. Instead, he would lead it through whatever laid beyond the door, whittle away at its spirit and use it to escape this castle. And then, when the time is right, he would deliver the final blow to its will, consume it and use its body as the basis for his own. Things went all according to his plan, right down to the reveal he planned.

But it refused to give in. It refused to surrender itself.

It fought him with a power he now knew all too late was his kind's bane.

The undead was not broken. It broke him.

But, it did not wish to. Instead, it offered to help Gieg. As it searched for its own answers, it would allow him to devour anything hostile they killed.

Well... With an offer as good as that, in the position he was in, how could he refuse?
