Dungeons & Dragons lore:
Ebony was a kobold abandoned by her biological tribe and separated from her twin Theta. She was adopted by two elvin druids - who raised her and taught her their ways. Eventually Ebony wanted to discover the tribe she had come from - going on her own quest to find them. Ultimately, when she did get the chance to find them, they were already dead. This prompted endless guilt about what Ebony could have done if she had gone searching for them sooner. It was soon discovered that the one responsible for the slaughter was someone rumored to be identical to her only with a yellow hue rather than purple...
Nullverse Lore:
Ebony and her sibling Theta lived in a small apartment between a lake and citadel. Their family ancestors descended from the Dragon Zero bloodline, one of the first groups of kobold Anthros. She had a love for her nature while her sibling had a love for the city. They would eventually both go to the same university and adapt to urban life. There, Ebony started dating Pheona.
