Venomous. Carried over from Thais' curse.
Has six distinct quill feathers on his crest that are hollowed out and barbed similarly to a porcupine's quills. When fanned, these feathers rest above a venom sacks that inject into the rachis if pressure is applied to these feathers. i.e; stabbed into someone. The barbs keep the feather(s) impaled into the skin causing the quills to be ripped from the crest and have to be regrown later.

Symptoms caused by the venom rank from mild to sever.
Mild induce a flu like symptoms including aches, tremors, fevers, and vomiting.
Sever cases lead to muscle paralysis and eventually respiratory failure if not drained immediately.

Mild traces of venom can be found in saliva and tears. When coming into contact with an open wound it can either temporarily numb the entire area or leave a burning sensation.
If bitten when upset there's an increased risk of a reaction similarly to those listed above but will never cause fatality. Worse case scenario is an infection.

Hard of Hearing
Born with single-sided deafness in the left ear and mild hearing loss in his right. Because of this his depth perception is hindered, loud noises tend to overwhelm him, and he may speak louder than intended when there is a lot of background noise. It may take a few minutes for him to register what is being said, and he feels better when people speak directly in front of him.
