Kiyo was originally born in South Korea to his parents Doon-Yul Yoon(Father) and Tomoko Suzuki(Mother), They soon moved to what is known as North America for his fathers work. Kiyo grew up mostly moving around a lot due to his fathers work so he never stayed in a place for long, the settled in New York and he has been living there since.

Kiyo learned at a young age that whenever he made any sort of origami it would come to life, when it first happened he was with his mother and she was teaching now to make some origami cranes.

Kiyo uses this in his fine art pieces/floral arrangements, to "give it life" and make it memorable
