Fay is a very kind and selfless person, would rather give to others than revive. She hates seeing others unhappy even if she doesn't know them, she'll end up trying to get them to smile and laugh by the end of the conversation. Openly wearing her heart on her sleeve. She gives most of her treasure and earnings to people who need it.

From an outside perspective it's easy to assume she is a bit of a doormat, but that isn't really true. She is very assertive in her views and doesn't like people use or dominate her. If she views something as wrong or cruel she will do something about it. No matter the cost.

Summary

Fay Moss was born into a noble family who was in control of a sizable village by the sea. Her mother, Jeanette, disappeared without a trace when Fay was only a year old. This lead her father, Vincent, to remarry rather quickly to another woman named Felicia. In her childhood both her father and step mother treated her very well, they were almost like the picture perfect family. Life was great for the family.

Though there was one thing that always bugged Fay, she was never allowed outside the mini castle. There were many times Fay tried to leave, but she would always get caught in the end. Fay would spend most of her time in the huge garden, loving the salty sea air and imagining sailing off on an adventure. To finally see what was outside of her home. She craved freedom. The only good thing of her being stuck at home is she got to befriend almost all of the knights and guards who worked in her home, they were like a second family to her. They began to teach her the art of swordsmanship at a young age.

One of the knights she very close to, his name was Edgar. Edgar became a knight when he was 16, Fay was a year younger than him. The two grow close really fast, Fay soon felt herself falling for him. He would tell her stories about the world, she would sit by him and listen to these stories for hours. By far her favorite stories were ones of pirates, which Edgar would find funny; that someone as sweet as Fay would love stories about how cruel pirates were. The reason Fay loved pirates was because of the freedom they had, they got to go where they wanted when they wanted. No one could stop them easily. Fay was jealous of this. She wanted to see the sea up close, not just from her window.

When Fay turned 20 Edgar got her out of the castle for the first time ever, convincing a couple of the other knights to let her out despite her parents wishes. Once the two of them were out Edgar took Fay to an isolated part of the beach. It was beyond beautiful in Fay's eyes, how the moonlight reflected off the water. She told Edgar she had never seen something so beautiful in her life. Together they walked up and down the beach, talking and having fun. After spending of time at the beach Fay became hungry, so hesitantly Edgar took her to a tavern to eat. While there Fay noticed the poor shape the town was in. Houses had holes in them, some houses looked to have been burned down, and everything just looked miserable. When Fay asked what was wrong, Edgar sadly explained how Fay's father was bleeding the town dry. Vincent has been raising the taxes for years, to the point the town can barely make ends meet. The people who couldn't pay were either thrown in jail or given as slaves to other towns. This greatly upset Fay who quickly voiced her anger to Edgar. Who told her "You've always cared so much about others.... it's one of the reasons I love you." They spent some more time together until Edgar decided it was time to take Fay back home. When he returned her to her room she gave him a quick and told him, "I love you."

The next day Fay started to look around for Edgar, asking various knights if they knew where he was. They'd have a somber look on their face before telling Fay they didn't know anything. After hours of asking one of the older knights told her "Someone told them about last night. Your father hanged him earlier this morning." Fay felt her heart break. She wasted no time running to her father's chambers, demanding to know why he killed Edgar. Her father glared down at Fay and said "He went against my orders by letting you out of the castle. Someone like you does not need to be around the scum that live in that town, you are better than them. He knew the risk of going against my orders." Her step mother added to this with "He also disgraced you! Someone with such a low rank shouldn't have even felt love towards you. He would never would've had a chance with you!" Fay asked how she knew this, "His final words were that he loved you."

Anger quickly consumed Fay, which became very clear as light began to surround her. Without thinking she yelled at her parent, letting them know how wrong their actions have been. How she couldn't believe how people who treated her so nicely her whole life could be this heartless and cruel. After she was done she stomped off into her room. Some of the knights tried to comfort her, but it never worked. She was heart broken.

It took weeks until Fay felt like coming out of her room, but something was different about her. She forced her way into her father's chambers once more, wasting no time to demand her parents to give money to the townspeople. They told her no and asked what has gotten into her. Without an once of hesitation Fay pulled a knife she was hiding in her sleeve and held it to her father's throat. Once more she told them her demands adding how they have failed ruling the town. "If you say no, I'll have to make you step down." They denied again.

Fay glared at him before punching him in the face. She then turned her attention to her father's adviser. "Is there anyone would can rule this town fairly?" In fear the adviser quickly explained that Vincent has a brother who lives in a near by town as a priest of Dreamweaver. "Great. He is now the ruler. Call him and tell him that and... if he treats this town poorly too I'll come back."

Once that was done, Fay told a bunch of the knights she was closet to her plan. She was becoming something from Edgar's stories, a pirate. Though she was going to do it her way. Steal treasure and money from the people who didn't need it and give it to the people who did. They wee surprised at first but told Fay they would join her. So besides those knights Fay rounded up a couple of prisoners--who were thrown in jail for unjust reason-- and a group of people who knew how to run a ship before heading off with a navy ship.
