My fursona. This is TabiiKat/Tabii/Kiiroi/Kii-Kii/Me. :3
Old art note: When I first designed Kiiroi, I had myself in mind. I didn't have a very positive self image or concept of who I wanted to be in life. I was just going from grade 12 directly into college and I was very stressed out. She was drawn fairly androgynously because I didn't think I made a very beautiful woman and she was almost ALWAYS scowling or angry, with few exceptions. I thought this made me look stronger and that's what I wanted. I even got into lifting weights for some time. Originally, she was various greens with pink flesh and orange eyes, but I felt disconnected after a while of this design. As well, no one making fan art was drawing her stripes appropriately. The left arm and right leg had more stripes. Which, in their defense, was and remains difficult to see. Alternations I made were: giving her my blue/grey eyes, purple hair as a cartoony nod to my brown hair with a reddish look in the sunlight, highlighter yellow dayglow flesh, a lighter green colour for her fur, black with green stripes for the left arm and right leg, and now she was drawn smiling because I was smiling more. She remains one of my favourite characters, with her depressed/faded version being one of my favourite pieces: it symbolizes my being diagnosed and getting help for my depression and social anxiety.
