About
Iori is the Crown Prince of the Underdark, a high stress position that he takes extra seriously because he knows that he'll have a lot to live up to when he takes the throne. His father is the first King of the Underdark and a hero to his people- he defeated the evil Lich Queen that had been ruling for well over a millennium and saved the Underdark from a terribly poisonous plague (all with the help of Iori's other father, the King Consort). Traditionally, he would be considered "lesser" in Drow society for being both a man and only half Drow, but since the King's word is law, no one says anything about it- to his face, at least. Iori tries his best to make his parents and his people proud, focusing on magical and political studies from a young age. He is rarely seen without The Inugami, his father's vicious warlock patron and undead dog monster turned family guardian, though Iori knows that he has a secret softer side.
Design
- He has light freckles across his nose, on his cheeks, and on his shoulders.
- His ears point up, not out.
- He has basically perpetual dark circles under his eyes from worry.

Palette
Character
Iori is a nervous wreck most of the time, though he tries to hold it together around his parents. He feels like the weight of the world is on his shoulders due to his station in life and his desire to live up to everyone's expectations. He sees his inevitable seat on the throne as an obligation that he wouldn't pick if had the option to choose, but Ioi would never abandon it either. He's anxious and high strung, and doesn't get nearly enough sleep (something he definitely inherited from Makura). Iori is very slow to open up to people, but once he trusts someone, he's loyal and feels safe being emotionally vulnerable around them.

Eidolon
Strength:
A rapier enchanted with both Blurstrike and Warning; a rather fitting coming of age present for a Drow Prince. It warns him of any nearby danger and can fade partially from view, causing it and Iori's arm to appear as nothing but an amporphous blur to make it hard to tell where he's going to strike.
Hellish Rebuke
Strength:
A spell that comes from his infernal heritage. If someone attacks him, Iori can retaliate by surrounding them with magical, hellish flames. He considers this much more useful than say, his ability to cast Darkness in the already fairly dark Underdark.
Eldritch Blast
Strength:
A signature warlock invocation that allows Iori to strike foes with a blast of crackling energy. Its power increases over time, but as Iori is still learning the ins and outs of being a warlock, it's still only so powerful.

Saijou
guardian and lover | warlock patron
He's Iori's closest friend and companion. As the Inugami, he has protected him since he was little, but he only started to care once Iori insisted on taking care of him and giving him a name of his own. Saijou is fiercely loyal and Iori trusts him not to take advantage of the terms of their warlock pact- though Saijou is usually more than welcome to take advantage of him in other ways...
Makura Sankai
father | king of the underdark
His impressive accomplishments make it seem like he'd have just as high standards for his son, but as long as Iori is happy, Makura is proud of him. Iori gets his sensitive side from him, and finds it much easier to talk to Makura about emotional decisions.
Kichi Tsurai
father | king consort
He's not big on emotional displays, so he tends to show Iori he cares through gestures rather than words. Iori's tendency to work alone and reluctance to ask for help comes from Kichi, but he trusts his dad to be able to cheer Iori up when he's feeling down.
