olya is an incredibly lazy person who doesn't care much about anything besides his passion: brewing. This nonchalant attitude leads to him being extremely blunt and honest with his observations and opinions, and he habitually insults people without thinking about the consequences. However, despite his prodigious talent and unfiltered mouth, Kolya is not at all courageous; when faced with someone more capable than him, he instantly becomes a complete pushover. As a result, his snarky attitude ends up being his biggest bane--it's easy for him to make enemies and yet he can't actually hold his own against them. Both his capable side and cowardly side belie a forgiving, gentle, and pacifistic person who loves cute things and can't hold grudges.

ike many other families, Kolya was raised hiding the fact that he was Fallen. As a child, he became close friends with many children of the Church. When Kolya was 7, his family was discovered to be Fallen by Church investigators, and the members of his village immediately made plans to kill his family. It was only with the warning of Evangeline, Kolya's close friend and a daughter of members of the Church, that Kolya and his family were able to run away in time towards a secluded forest area. From there, Kolya's parents decided to no longer hide their Fallen lifestyles and teach Kolya to defend and care for himself with magic. Kolya was quickly discovered to be a prodigy and, at the age of 15, became a Warlock and set up his own house and workshop. It is because Kolya was both hated and saved by humans that he decides to stay neutral. Due to his experiences, he believes that it is impossible to heal the rift between the two groups and believes that if the two sides never interact, it will lessen bloodshed.
