Profile

OC made based on the world setting of the Yakuza game series

Chinese-Japanese. His mother brought him to Japan in attempts to find his father at the Yakuza family (Takanashi-gumi) he's in but she died before it could happen. Aki was then adopted into the family and raised alongside the family's young daughter, Masaharu, who's been a protective big sis to Aki ever since

His name work in japanese and chinese at the same time. Aki was so young when he lost his mother he doesn't even know if his name was meant to be chinese or not in the first place. When he first arrived at the family home, he was shy and reserved, and having witnessed his mother pass away in front of him with regret and sadness, he more or less became rather emotion-less. He doesn't seem to care much, since keeping his mind empty was a way to protect himself.

Aki's mother spent so much time trying to get to japan while bringing Aki along that he never really had much of an education. He could barely speak chinese. When his mother passed away in the small rental they had, Aki went out and walked around, followed the men he recognized as yakuza, and sat in front of the house. Aki's mother previously came around the family house multiple times but was turned down, since the then-oyabun, Masa's dad, wasn't around. The men at the house tried shooing Aki away, but he refused to budge, so they just left him alone, not wanting to deal with him. It wasn't until Masa came home from school and noticed a dirty little boy sitting in front of the house that he finally managed to catch someone's attention. Masa approached Aki, who tugged on her sleeve and led her all the way back to the rental apartment. Masa was taken aback from Aki's motionless mother, while he remained seemingly unfazed, and opened up his mother's hand, in which she gripped the only reminder of her husband: the Takanashi family pin. Masa quickly ran home grabbing Aki along with her, told what she saw to her parents over the phone. The Takanashis came home the next day. Aki wasn't speaking, so Yoshirou (Masa's dad) decided to go through every information he can gather, and finally learnt what happened: Aki's dad was killed at a clan fight. He never mentioned having a family so Yoshirou buried him normally, without knowledge of Aki and his mom. He felt guilt over what they had gone through, and went on paying to get Aki's mother buried next to his father. He also took in Aki as his child, since it was the only way he could still make up for this unfortunate event.

Aki started off very closed up, the only interaction and reaction he had was towards Masa, whose kind and charismatic nature, and being an older sister-figure, made Aki felt safe to be around. The Takanashi brought in a chinese tutor to help Aki regain his speech, with Masa learning it together with him to help along the process. She also joins Aki on his japanese lessons whenever she's off from school. Despite being so young, Masa already felt that it was in her little hands the task of protecting her new little brother, so she made sure to always bring Aki around wherever she goes, to help him being able to open up again.

When he finally started kindergarten, Aki tends to be picked on, being very soft-spoken and of very few words. He doesn't really desire fighting back, since in a way he doesn't feel like caring about it. When it'll pass, it'll pass. But Masa doesn't let that shit through. She'd gotten in countless fights with boys ever older than her, for Aki's sake. Whenever Aki clumsily put bandaids on Masa's wounds with concern on his face, Masa always beams up, saying it's her duty to protect Aki. The way Masa was, even as a child, put a thought in Aki's mind. He knows Masa is someone he can trust for the rest of his life. This made him become extremely loyal to Masa when they grew up, dedicating everything he has to help protect his family.

In middle/high school, the siblings were quite well-known, more Masa than Aki however. She was always the class president and student counsel president, achieved by her own charm effortlessly. Aki, grown up with a pretty boy's face, attracted mainly the attention of girls at the school (and some times boys, who seem to really wanna hide that fact by picking on Aki but then wussing out). Masa still hangs out with Aki a lot, who doesn't do much except reading novels during breaks. He doesn't know how Masa is putting up with him, being someone who's always super busy running around the entire school. She just nonchalantly waves her hand, saying how it's just relaxing being with Aki, since he seems to always find the perfect spots for naps.

When Aki entered highschool and Masa being ready to graduate, she was worried about Aki's lukewarm nature. After a talk together, Masa suggested Aki think about his future, when she's gonna leave Japan for over 4 years, and Aki will be alone. He thought about it for a while, and came to the amazing conclusion that he will start training his body. Masa agreed, joking about he's not gonna be smart enough to train his mind anyway since all he reads are light novels. The wheels were then put in motion. Masa left for the US and Aki started training with the family. His body puts on muscles surprisingly fast, and with him finally graduating, he ditched college and put all his mind into training and going on errands with the family goons. He went to the point when he's built as immovable like a bull, and quickly became the strongest in the family. With his face being soft and un-menacing, he can put quite a surprise on his opponents when a fight goes down.

When Masa returned from the US, she started with doing collections and resolving daily troubles on the family turf, together along with Aki. She also trains daily with a teacher along with her brother. She's also the only person Aki can't seem to beat, since despite being the strongest person with the most exploding power in the family, he lacks on skill compared to Masa, who can fight smartly. Luckily for Aki, he relies on his instincts, honed by the years of training he had and the amount of fights he already got in. Usually, just his power will get him through just about anything.

After Masa took over as the head, he became second-lieutenant, Masa's trusted right hand man. The years of boding between the two siblings resulted in an unbreakable loyalty, and Aki, finally being in a position to help out Masa, swears on his own life he will do anything for her. Masa, knowing Aki better than he does himself, trusts him with her whole heart, but still keeping an eye on him, being her little brother that she still feels a sense of duty to protect, just like when they were young. She knows Aki will quite literally do anything she tells him, and the last thing she wants is for Aki to give his life.

Aki never really had anything for himself, not a long of things concerns him, the only thing he truly cares about is whatever that will help his sister. This ended up in a kidnapping a few years later, where Aki was captured by some yakuza moving in from another city, trying to get the upper hand. They tortured Aki to the point he's barely breathing. Even being as physically strong as he is, Aki finally passed out, and on the verge of death, from being tasered to the heart too many times for his heart to handle. What those people didn't know however, was that Masa worked non-stop tracking down Aki's position. She finally got a hit and head out herself with her men. When she found the room Aki was kept, and saw the state he was in, her rage flared up, and she ended up executing every single high-ranking member in that room except one person. No one else knew what happened, other than that one she left alive to let the story out, to never mess with the Takanashi family. Aki was admitted to the hospital and after emergency surgery, and thanks to his body's toughness and the will to live, he came back to life, and made a perfect recovery. This event also spread Masa's reputation as practically a demon to her enemies.

As for Aki, his fearsome way of fighting by charging in and leaving bodies on the ground also earned him a reputation. The yakuza had started calling him "Jigoku no Higanbana", where based on his tattoo, and also whenever he fights, the ground blooms with blood of his enemies. He finds the nickname really embarrassing and on the nose, but Masa just shrugs it, saying its pretty accurate for something yakuza would come up with.

(As a side fact, Aki always had a pretty face, and Masa and their mother decided that he's gonna be the "brand" of the family, so they explicitly told him to never hurt his face and scar it. They have a reputation to uphold, and Aki being this tough yakuza guy with a good-looking face is gonna spread their reputation. They even regularly give him stuff to keep his face clean. Aki.... doesn't really care, so he just does as he's told. So basically other than the onna-oyabun, Masa, everyone also knows there's a a guy with dyed silver hair and a beauty mark under his eye who's gonna send everyone to the hospital if the onna-oyabun sees you doing shit)

Now Aki passes his days doing not much except browsing online and doing whatever works needs to be done. He also goes to a local pet shop that he always went to when he grew up to help sometimes. This pet shop was where Masa brought him when they were young and where he finally smiled for the first time, so both for him and Masa, it's another important place. The old lady retired some years back and now it's her daughter who's taking care of it.

Aki does his normal chores every day, not knowing that today, he's gonna meet a pervert.
