Environment and Generation
The boviota prefers to generate in large, open areas with a marked preference towards abandoned farmland. Larger amounts of outdoor space versus indoor space encourage larger groups to appear per infestation.
Boviota will not generate in locations without some sort of overhead structure nearby, such as an overhang, roof, or canopy.
Behavior
A boviota wanders slowly around the area it generated in, never straying far from its companions. It mimes the actions of a grazing cow without ever actually eating, occasionally making vaguely human-like chattering, laughing, and sighing noises in between periods of chewing non-existent cud and resting. Inclement weather compels it and its "herd" to seek shelter within the nearest covered area that can comfortably fit them.
Interactions with Sensitives
The boviota shows a wary interest in sensitives, though it won't usually approach unless the sensitive in question makes sounds. The sounds that a boviota deems interesting enough to investigate vary per each unique infestation. Sensitives may also approach a boviota themselves, in which case they must walk slowly. A fast approach will cause the group to flee.
If a sensitive grabs, yanks, pinches, or otherwise squeezes any of the pink areas on a boviota, they will become lactose intolerant for up to a week after contact. If the sensitive is already lactose intolerant, they will be mauled until they die or leave the area.
