A species formed of a diamond core, able to create a spark, but unable to feed a flame.
They prey on dragonlings, and transform their prey's natural composition in order to react with their core, and maintain their fire.
They use their fire in dazzling threat displays, as they themselves often fall victim to
adult dragons, who rely on their spark core to create fire for themselves.
