I recommend the Feral series by Cynthia Lynch Smith. It’s about a world of humans & shifters. Shifters being people who can shift into animals. It has themes of racism and finding one’s purpose. All of her series are connected so if you want to start from the very beginning go with the Tantalize series.
This character I find really cute! I’ll probably put her in the same universe as Derek. They’ll be roommates? Friends at least. Luna radiates pastel goth energy so Derek and her would be best of friends. Quiet but outgoing, I think she’d enjoy skateboarding & small cafés. Definitely a book lover. Probably plays DnD too!
