Draconis (Pronounced Drac-on-is) is a quaint  world inhabited by mainly dragons and those alike.

Draconis is almost a paradise resort, the entire planet is very lush with thick grass and a huge assortment of wildflowers and Flora.

Draconis does have other species roaming the lands besides dragons, but they are just animals. Draconis is split into different factions or clans. Each clan is run by a leader but there is a ruler over all clans. This is to make sure the main ruler over all clan doesn’t become corrupt and power hungry.

This ruler has control over the clans, but the clans can also over rule the leader of the majority vote against it. these rulers are picked over a long period of time to judge the individuals personality and characteristics, judging if they would be a suitable ruler of all.

However, when a ruler dies suddenly a rush to find a new ruler is put into place and mistakes can be made.

Draconis main hub descriptor:

First off the island is very green and forested there’s no buildings built and everything in underground or high up in natural caverns.

The main “hub” is a very large open cavern on the outskirt of the world, there is a hand crafted small wooden dock which leads up to the massive open cavern. Sometimes in the rainy season a waterfall with flow over the cavern hiding it from view. Inside is a large open space lit up by magic torches, the large space is good for vendors and the cave has smaller side paths for other rooms/areas.

There’s a large red woven carpet with gold trim leading right up to the throne which sits in the main back of the cavern. This is not the main thrown room and acts more like a area to watch what is going on.

Vendors have booths on either side or the cavern, to the left towards the front is a small holding jail cell for those awaiting punishment. In the back on the left side is another room, which acts as barracks.

To the right is a training room. And hidden directly behind the throne are private quarters and guest rooms.

The hub is extremely bustling with dragons coming in and out constantly, the dock is more so for visitors to arrive. But the water dragons also take advantage of it.

Right beside the cavern are small pop up shops for when the inside gets too full, they close when it rains.

The cavern also provides shelter for some without any.

There are guards watching near the back of the cavern as well.

The dragons of Draconis don’t have gods, but they do have “ancestors” that they summon for advice.

Most of the time a normal dragon will appear and offer its help or what have you. But sometimes rarely an ancient one can appear in its place.

There is a summoning ritual required to bring forth an ancestor first of all, this grants their spirit an anchor to the world letting them be shown.

Sheba is a well known priestess in summoning the ancestors but any normal dragon can do it with guidance and supervision.

Not all ancestors are friendly mind you, once anchored some can want to posses the one performing the ritual. It is a danger all dragons know of and it is why these rituals are never done alone.

The ancient ancestors will never posses a dragon, however the normal one can. Depending on whom they where and the dragon’s mental fortitude.

If the dragon has a low mental fortitude they will be possessed and cannot fight back, if they have a high mental fortitude they can either be to strong to be possessed or become possessed but not totally and actively try to fight the spirit back with their own will.

The ancient ancestors are very rare, and mostly only appear when high ranking priest/priestess summon an ancestor.

They are:

Lilac: the ancient ancestor of flora and fauna, she makes the soil rich and full of wild flowers. Whenever she appears the growing season will begin. She can bless dragon who summon her if they offer her flowers.

Nevari: (Neh-vah-ree) is the ancient ancestor of the hunt but also for war at times of unrest. Notably he has a broken horn on his head and a large scar across his eye and neck, with some smaller ones elsewhere. He carry’s a bow and has a sword on his back. Sometimes he is seen with a wolf. His blessing can be earned by dragons competing in events against one another.

Alexandria: (Not dead) Alexandria is in fact an ancient dragon but she isn’t dead unlike the others. She had hidden in the land for years and only have recently re-emerged after all of her rivals and other competition has died out.

Amoreios: (Ah-more-ee-us) is the ancient ancestor of love and care, he was one of the first dragon in ancient records to come up with the marriage ceremony that is still used in current times. Most dragon summon him before the wedding ceremony to ask for his blessing.

Söl: (Soul) The ancient ancestor of the sun, like his counter part Lun they are the rarest to appear and are the first ancient ancestors creating both the sun and moon to give love to the world. Söl only appears when a major event is going to happen, he will never say what but it’s always be best to be prepared for the worst. He also rarely comes out during times of war and has a strong urge for bloodshed.

Lun: (L-oo-n) Lun is the moon ancient ancestor and like Söl is extremely rare. Also unlike her brother she is well tempered and collected. She too comes at times of great change and unrest but she is seen as the lesser of two evils.

Legend has it if a priest or priestess summons an ancestor and both Lun and Söl are summoned the end of the world is at large.

Skall: (S-k-all) Skall is the ancient ancestor of the dead and the one who brings dead dragon spirits to the underworld. He is seen more as a guide and less of a scary being, he is almost as rare as Söl or Lun and only is summoned at wars to bless the dead or summoned for funerals to guide the spirits.Â
