Lucina was born and raised in the artistic capital of the region, Alvarna. She grew up next door to Hotaru's adopted parents, sneaking peeks out her bedroom window as they carried the young girl inside the night she was found. As soon as she was well enough to go outside, Lucina was at her doorstep, inviting her to play, and the two became fast friends. Even through Hotaru's biggest struggles, Lucina was there to defend her, especially when it came to her village's skepticism. Even if it ruined Lucina's reputation, she had Hotaru's back, even casting her family aside when they begged her to pull away from the ostracized child. Despite her aggressive defense of Hotaru, she was removed from Alvarna for her own safety in the dead of night, and it was years before Lucina saw her again.

When news broke that the nearby village of Aurelia was making headway in the region, Lucina knew deep down in her heart that it was Hotaru's doing, the girl's passion for equity, progress, and equality too strong to snuff out. Now on her own and hoping to make a name for herself, as well as to find her dearest friend, she made the trek to Aurelia, elated to see that Hotaru was there waiting for her. It was there that the two did their best to work together to build Aurelia's future, and when it finally came time for Hotaru to take her rightful place as Firefly Valley's Council representative, the newly appointed Council head took Lucina with her. Now, Lucina continues to work with her best friend as her second-hand, working together to make Etharia a better place for all.
