He's quiet, often emotionless in appearance, a strange lack of light often in his eyes. As an infant he was abandoned by his emotionally/physiologically unstable mother, left with friends of his mother's who were just as bad if not worse. He was often neglected, barely cared for enough to live, but aside from that they were decent to him. by 4 he was basically taking care of himself. When he was found by a man, who later turned out to be his biological father, He was barely more than a complacent lifeless doll that would do anything he was told, which lead to him being severally emotionally, sexually and physically abused by the hands of this man from the time he was 8 years old until the age of 12. That is also when he meant his mother though, well his adoptive mother, later to be know as his biological aunt. She was the name who named him, as until then the people raising him had only every called him boy or kid.

She was the most caring loving young woman and it lead to him becoming very attached to her as a mother figure despite her only being 6 years his senior. She was in the same situation as silver but did everything in her power to protect and care for him, leading him to feel loved and cared for for he first time in his short life. As such he is very attached to his Mama Minto and would do anything for the woman, even murder. Silver's father, however, would dress him as a little girl and treat him as "daddy's little princess." and expect him to behave as such. Silver would do his best to behave to avoid punishment and didn't honestly mind the treatment most of the time, but it didn't leave him any less terrified and hateful of his father, especially because the same treatment would be given to his mama, often worse, including the murder of the 5 children the man impregnated her with during her time with him, starting at age 14 when her first child was born. 

At age 12, Silver escaped, due to Minto's help and urging to do so, likely due to the plans Fire Bird(his father) had for him. Firebird had plans to have silver go through forced gender reassignment surgery (done by some crack pot) and would of likely 'disposed' of mint afterwards, as there would of been no need for her, along with the fact she was far past the ages he preferred of his victims.

With that, Silver was on the streets, though not for long. Shortly after his escape he was found by a young woman named Satari, who took him in, cleaned him up and made him part of her "family". The Order of the Black Knight. A group lead by 4 Knights with Satari as their secret king, her involvement is not common knowledge, her knights really being the only ones to know. Silver became the 4th knight some time after he joined, alone with Soren, Torr, and Solomon. Despite the Knights being the leaders, the group is very Matriarchal based. 

at age 16, with the help of the other Knights, especially torr, Silver returned to his father to save Mama Minto when he learned she was still alive.  Silver reverted upon seeing the man again, Torr stepped in and brutally murdered Firebird while Solomon helped Silver and Minto leave the area and return them home.
