Wes

In life, Wes was a painter most well-known for his murals. He met a terrible end, and he really doesn't like to talk about it.

He's got rather low self-esteem, but he takes a lot of pride in his creations. His general way of going through life (or, uh, not-so-life) can be described as "haphazard, but earnest."

At the outset of the game's story, it seems he doesn't have a lot of friends among the forest's inhabitants.. it's sort of worrisome, you know? When no one will stay around someone, you can't help but start to wonder why.
