Appearance

River is a tall draconic humanoid , standing at -height here-. She has an almost gangly build, with her scrawny arms and legs ending in larger hands and feet (she claims its to get better purchase on algae-covered river rocks). Fine scales cover her body and give her a smooth-looking appearance. Her coloration varies wildly from bright greens on her head and face to rich reddish pinks along her arms, back, legs and tail. Her fin-like ears are the darkest pink while all of her other fins are varying greens striped with darker green. Two thin light green stripes go along her torso and belly, lining her cream-colored underbelly marking that goes down her tail. 

Softer pink lined the green stripes, replacing the green down her tail between the underside and the darker pinks on the back. Her tail is large and easily doubles her body length. While it appears cumbersome, it is deceptively mobile and River is able to use it to slap someone much like an iguana would.. Though she almost never tail slaps with her full strength due to the lean muscle in her tail- It's a warning, not an attempt to murder.

She has semi-long cream colored hair flipped over to the left side of her face, green and pink streaks the front while brown speckles the back (the same speckles as the underside of her tail).

Skills

River is an adept hunter and fisher - from the water, anyway. She has zero skill with weapons, preferring to use her own natural ones instead. She has retractable claws on her hands and feet that she uses while hunting.

While she doesn't use her breath weapon often, she has been known to "snipe" prey with it.

Abilities

Water Breathing

• While it is assumed she can breathe underwater, this fact remains unproven. No one is sure if she can or if she's actually just holding her breath for long periods of time.

Breath Weapon

• River is able to "breathe" out a focused torrent of water from a magic core located between her lungs and her throat. These "breath cores" are valuable alchemical and magical components and are highly sought after by adventurers and hunters (even the "weakest" breath core of good quality will fetch a hundred or so gold).
• While she cannot control the water she emits in this way, she can use it to make the terrain more hazardous.. Your boots and feet were not made for slippery slick terrain - hers were.
  • While on slippery terrain, her speed doubles as she is able to "slither" around. Think of her more like a serpent in movement than a fish-
  • She moves like a monster moves when fighting, not like a person.

Sky Element

• Upon entering the paperverse, River's element manifested as Sky. She can use this to give others air underwater, create powerful gusts of wind or boost her movement (most commonly making her movements more erratic in the water or on slippery terrain).
  • With enough focus, she can knock the air from someone's lungs, though this requires physical contact. She will most commonly pair it with a strike to end a fight quickly.
  • She will launch herself from the water and land for a dramatic entrance. You're welcome~

Susceptible to Heat

• River becomes extremely sluggish when her body temperature rises above a certain point for extended periods. While it takes her a while to dry out, if she goes a length of time without staying properly hydrated, her scales will discolor and become fragile (normally her natural armor is enough to block sword strikes/make them glancing blows. If a sword her to hit her in this weakened state, the scales would crumble).

Draconic Vision

• The eyes of a dragon are powerful, able to allow them to see miles away and even through the thickest fog or clouds. Dragons are able to see magic at a glance, able to tell magical items in disguise apart from the mundane. River's eyes are no different, however she cannot tell what kind of magic affects said items or people.
  • She can see through fog, heavy rain, clouds and murky water. 
    • She cannot see through dust, smog or smoke.
  • River can tell when people are glamored, though her draconic vision is not strong enough to see through the illusion. She can tell whether an item is cursed or not, but that is the strongest she can see.
    • Rathyn is an excellent example. He would appear heavily glamored to her and she would know he is using illusion magic, but that's it.
