What is Anima?(Lore)

Derived from the Latin word "Animus"(meaning: life/soul), Anima is a kind of model/software android that allows its users to project themselves using it. Its concept is similar to Virtual Youtubers and how people use their personas in general. Developed to help people to find their "true selves" or people who struggle to express themselves, Anima are generally used as an artificial projection of its owners.

" Anima" is more of a label and not a name. When the owner first uses this medium, an artificial/virtual appearance is generated that reflects the owner's "heart" a.k.a true personality. Owners can then give their Anima a name. Since everything is projected to Anima, the medium would have the same basic personal information as it's owner. Information that are too personal however, such as the owner name, address, etc. are not revealed for confidentiality purposes.

There are limitations to this system. Firstly, Owners can only use their own Anima. If another person tries to use another person's Anima, it will immediately reset and the former's Anima will be brought out instead. Secondly, Anima can't be used outside the virtual world. Thirdly, while Anima is mostly just a medium for its owners use and have almost fully control in, they can't lie and act "out of character" of themselves or they'd stop functioning. Lastly, skills that are not owned by the owner(example: drawing, social skills) can't be done by Anima even if their appearances/personality look otherwise, but they do help spiritually(giving "the drive", etc.). This means that even though its owner is actually a talkative person, their Anima wouldn't be able to be talkative unless the owner gets used to it.

Thanks to its development, many people who have issues opening up eventually started being able to be a part of the society.
