Profile

Playlist featuring Danger, Starcadian, and Carpenter Brut

Has a fairly average build, not exactly slender nor stocky. Looks to be somewhat feline. Long, pointed ears that are at a downward slant by default. In possession of a slightly unusual hairstyle, with an asymmetric bang in front and a short ponytail in the back. Tends to wear a strange, dark jumpsuit with white accents. Has a winning smile, assuming you like horror movies. Otherwise, it's pretty unsettling. Typically keeps the hood of her jumpsuit up, leaving her face entirely shadowed minus her eyes. Smells vaguely herbal. Doesn't talk a lot, which makes it surprising when she does speak: her cadence is soft, and a bit stoic.

Reverb seems to like being the strong, silent type. Unfortunately for her, she finds it pretty hard to keep the act up. She has a pretty poor attitude to people she hasn't met, but she warms up fairly quickly. She expresses a casual interest in horror movies and writing, and is learning basic wiring and repair in her spare time.

Comes from an island nation, isolated from the rest of the world. This isolation, in combination with the relative safety of the land there, allowed unparalleled technological progress. Reverb, during her teenage years, felt increasingly pampered by these technologies, and escaped from the city she lived in to be free of it. She felt that being given things you haven't earned left you weak and helpless against the world. Far from the city, she encountered a monastery, full of people who felt the same way as her. Even then, she felt uncomfortable; like she was surrounding herself with like-minded people to avoid confronting reality. After that period of isolation, she moved back into the city, and reincorporated herself into society. She fell in love with another shifter by the name of Chorus, and the two settled down together.
Because of a need for funds, Chorus signed on for a "study" at a nearby research center. Unknown to her, this was really a dubiously-ethical trial of a substance believed to allow shifters to stay in their shifted form for longer than a minute. It worked; too well. Chorus was now permanently stuck in her shifted form, leaving her mind intact but effectively causing her to lose her ability to speak. Reverb had to retrieve her before any more trials took place.
Reverb now hopes to find some sort of artifact that can undo Chorus's condition.
