-Backstory-

On the commute to a little town of high magical magnitude, a diminutive figure sat in the back of a grimy taxi, thinking about everything that had led up to this point. He honed in on all the changes brought by the Sunder

Ever since Ms. Ferral and Ms. Elise had set up their companies (Dante Inc. and Omni LTD, respectively) things had been leaps and bounds different than they ever had been.

Souls were no longer the currency of trade, instead of focusing on material exchange. Magic was quickly becoming a public good, with the common man being able to wield immense power. Even the sworn enemies of his kind, the angels, had been reduced to unpleasant acquaintances.

However, what he focused on personally was the change in the status quo.

Back in the days of old, where warlocks and witches would spend their life trying to summon figures from the dark, an imp like him would be lucky to be a familiar. They were considered peons at best and a nuisance at worst. They were constantly overshadowed and overlooked, put down by even other demons.

Oh, but how the times have changed. Now he, an imp of barely three feet, bossed around the same people who pushed him down before. He was their ruler, their leader, their end all and be all. This position and power came at a price, of course. He had to work hard to get where he is now. It took blood, sweat, and tears; most of which were not his own

As the taxi pulled up to the gates of the tiny community, the driver nervously watching the tiny monstrosity shamble restlessly in the back seat, the imp thought once again of all the changes...

And quickly solidified in his mind that his newfound power wasn't going to be taken away from him any time soon.

With a twitchy motion, the demon paid the taxi driver and stepped out onto the road leading into town, suitcases being held in place between his knees.

"Get ready, Ebonvale", the imp drawled out. "I'm going to turn you into a gold mine."
