• Mother's perfect princess who didn't have a single ounce empathy in her body. During adolesence, she took away everything Patrion ever loved and the main reason Patrion wouldn't let Azrael get a dog.
• She had her engagement ring finger chopped off after her first engagement ended in flames. Laurel wanted to marry and produce a spawn before her brother could. She never had an engagement last longer than a month, and she kept trying after Patrion turned up in Nitor with Azrael. Laurel wanted to announce Azrael's illegitimate claim to the Great Knight inheritence by announcing her "legitimate" heir (aka fully human and not born out of wedlock); she never won that battle before Speravi fell.
• She knows an inane amount of slurs for magic and non-human folks. Laurel despises what Speravi has become after her mother died - magical "creatures" in power, artificial light, and a bastard heir to the Great Knight role. Azrael had mutliple attempts on their life, and no one can confirm whether or not Laurel was behind them.
