ABOUT
"Just take a cup and relax."

A coffee addict who lives at night and works at a cafe. When meeting new faces, he always introduces himself as his internet alias, "Moonriver".

APPEARANCE

HUMAN

His body is slim with a pale skin, dark blue hair and grey-blue eyes. There are black rings around his eyes due to lack of sleep; his hair is messy as he doesn't comb them often. His casual clothes are: a grey short-sleeved shirt, with a long-sleeved dark blue one underneath, and black pants.

PERSONALITY

Being a loner who enjoys the quiet, he prefers nighttime, as well as the company of small groups. He doesn't talk much, if at all, let alone about himself, unless prompted to. And even then, keeps the personal stuff for himself.

An alexithymic. He struggles to identify, understand and distinguish his emotions and feelings, as well as the bodily sensations that stem from them, causing him to appear cold and apathetic. If the emotion or feeling is strong, he may react negatively to it due to the confusion and anxiety.

He always trusts his instinct, going out of his way to do whatever he feels is right, even if he doesn't understand why. He is protective to everyone in his entourage and paternal to children.

After starting his day (or rather night) with boredom, Louie went to spend time in the Forest, relaxing at the Crying Idol. The reason why he hadn't got to do it as often as he wished to lately, was mainly due to his new internet friend, "Tinflick". The latter had a 'normal' sleep schedule, which meant that the evening was the only time of the day Louie could talk to them.

The bovid caught himself nearly dozing off and wondered how long he had been there, only to realize that there was no way for him to tell time in the Forest. Thus, he decided to return home without delay.

Well, I'm late, he thought upon checking his phone's lock screen. When he arrived, Lenny came down on him, demanding an explanation for his unusual lack of punctuality. Louie wasn't sure if telling him the truth was the right thing to do. After all, his coworker most likely wouldn't believe him and would just brush it off as a poor and weird excuse. Instead, the dark blue-haired man told him that he overslept, as he forgot to turn on his alarm clock. Lenny was still frowning, yet accepted it and left the cafe in his hands for the night.

One of his regulars didn't show up, which Louie found odd but he didn't think much of it. Maybe he finally got a date or something, he simply told himself. He knew the guy for his despair of finding a partner someday. He had it all: loving parents, friends, a pretty-looking home, a nice career that he enjoyed... All he wanted now was to find the right one.

To be fair, he wasn't the only one feeling that way around here. Lenny had once let it slip to Louie that he, too, was feeling miserable being single. So was the lady coming every now and then for a cup of green tea latte. In all honesty, Louie never understood what it was all about. He never felt that desire. Or at least, he didn't think so. He wasn't even sure what love was, only guessing based on what other people had told him.

The front door opened. It was a police officer that the pale-skinned man had never seen before. He ordered a decaffeinated espresso, asking the night barista questions regarding the habits of the locals. He claimed he was on a case in which a nearby resident went missing, leaving traces of a struggle. Unfortunately for the officer, the victim's surname didn't ring Louie any bell.

Out of curiosity, the pale-skinned man asked the new customer more information. Yet his questions were met with a rant about how boastful and unfair the inspector in charge of the case was. Apparently, the latter had been taking credit for the majority of the lower-ranked officer's work that contributed to solving cases. It didn't help that he had been acting as if he was the one who did it all by himself.

The barista remained silent the entire time, intrigued by the problem. While he didn't have any advice to give, he offered another decaffeinated coffee for free that his customer gladly accepted.

After work, Louie made himself a nice cup of cappuccino and sat down to read a book he was supposed to finish longtime ago, while listening to relaxing music on his phone. He wondered if there were people in the Human World, other than him and Lalitha, who knew about the Forest.
