Andy is a quiet and nervous type of guy. He isn't very confident about himself. You can also say that he is kinda naive because he would trust everyone who was nice to him.

Andy doesn't like to talk about himself. He is also the type who blames himself about everything that goes wrong in the first place. Because he was raised in the demons society and he is from the lowest class Andy stresses out near everyone that is bigger and stronger than him. He follows his intuition first so he seems impulsive, sometimes even a little crazy.

But when Andy feels safe, he becomes a more energetic and cheerful type. He smiles more often and he doesn't curl up with every louder sound. He's more likely to talk with others. Andy is very loyal to people who he considers as friends. He will always team up with them even when they face the danger that he is afraid of.

Andy is quite a good example of a demon from the lowest class. From his birth, he was a rather weak and skinny child. He was ever born without horns, which are probably the most characteristic attribute of this race. Also, he didn't have either fire or dark powers, which demons' society preferred the most. Because of that Andy's parents turned their back at him when he was a kid, and the only person that took care of him was his older brother. Without him, Andy would die at a very young age.

As a child, Andy often was bullied by his equals from upper classes. The worst thing was that they had a right to do it. The bullies even left a lot of burn scars on his legs and arms. Because of that, Andy started to wear oversized sweaters and bandages, to hide all of the traces. Andy didn't want to make his brother fell guilty about this.

When Andy was a teenager, he tried to get every job that he was allowed to do. That wasn't an easy task for him with his status as a demon from the lowest class. The only thing that Andy cared at that moment was being independent as soon as possible, so his brother would be worried about him no more. To be honest, this was quite a difficult time in his life. Almost every demon asked about a job suggested with a rather nasty smile on their face that the best job that Andy can find was being a prostitute in a brothel. Luckily, an older kind demon offered Andy a porter job in his shop. That was quite a hard occupation for a weak demon like Andy, but he found a use for his magic abilities. Andy didn't earn much, but it was enough to live on his own. He usually worked in late evenings.

One time, when he was returning home, a group of drunk demons spotted Andy. They decided that they would have "a little fun" with him. Demons easily overpowered Andy, but in the very moment they wanted to humiliate him, the vampire scientist with silver rapier saved him. Then, the vampire introduced himself as Angelus Blake, and he asked Andy if he wanted to change his life, and Andy agreed politely. Then the demon followed the vampire, they traveled a few days, until they reached the vampire's castle. There Andy learned about Dreamland, Glass Hearts, and their's power. He took part in Angelus' experiment, and he went on the other side of the Mirror. Unfortunately for him, the first person that Andy met in Dreamland was Rozoar, who at that moment was under the Dream Lord's control. Rozoar's duty was to eliminate every person from the Real World, so he tried to kill Andy right from the spot. The demon somehow managed to escape, although he couldn't return to his world, because Mirror just disappeared.

When Andy was running away from Rozoar, he met Lycoryth, the Personification of Death in this dimension. Lycoryth saw how scared and helpless Andy was and he decided to help the demon. He took his life energy and turned it into one of the Glass Hearts, so Andy could pretend that he belongs to this world, until he finds a way out. From this moment Andy lives with Lycoryth as his assistant. With passing time they are slowly developing a trustful, kind of parental relation.
