Level headed and not easily impressed. Ryan is the epitome of: Want to get it done? Do it yourself. Ryan is often seen as simple-minded due to his tendency to start a fight before talking. Believing that a good battle is a way of learning to know each other. But even he knows that talking isn’t his strongest suit. Stubborn as he is, he is not willing to let anyone tell him what to do. But even he can appreciate criticism. He is kind and hardworking. Willing to help those who cannot help themselves.
Born as the youngest sibling of the powerful and wealthy family of Covault, Ryan was never able to decide his own life. Being son of the leader of the Hellhounds, Grathgar Covault, forced him to serve in the army at a very young age, even for Hellhound standards. His father noticed that he had a potential to become a fearsome and strong warrior. Making him start his training at the age of 5. Killing his first prey at the age of 6, and finishing the first Hellhound trail at the age of 12. He was seen as a perfect kid, until his late teens. Where he started to oppress anything that had to do with his father. Ryan himself wanted nothing more but to live his life like he wants to. Only ever seeing the Blacktalon Mountains, he wanted to see the rest of the world. But his father did not want that, forcing him into horrible positions and tasks, to punish him for his transgression. At the age of 23 he was forced to hold watch at the Coldmore Outpost, through there he would meet Ethan. Together they were able to escape the isle and make way to reach Niberia with a small boat. Enrolling together in the guild named Crystal Creek.
TL;DR
Born as the youngest child in the Covault family, Ryan was trained at a very young age to become a well known asset to the Hellhound army. That is what his father, Grathgar Covault wanted. Ryan himself wanted nothing more but freedom from his family. At the age of 23, while on an expedition at the edge of Blacktalon Mountains he met a guy named Ethan. Together they fled to Niberia, and both started a new life as adventurers in a guild called Crystal Creek.

KARCAS
A legendary weapon forged by Bardash Gashma, a Hellhound that is known for creating mythical artifacts and weapons. This weapon is made with the bone fragments of Demon Zyfre’th. Believed to be the first demon where the Hellhounds were born from. This weapon is able to switch the shape of the blade through usage of heat. Ryan is able to change it by using lightning elements within his body.
Absorb & Output: Karcas’s metal is able to absorb or push away elements from the air to increase its density. This also includes elements that come in touch with the weapon. Making it either deflect or be absorbed into the weapon. Able to form itself from a small dagger to an oversized hammer at will of the user.
Cold resistance
As part of being a Hellhound, Ryan is able to withstand dangerously cold temperatures.
Demonic Rage
Not every Hellhound is able to turn to their original roots. Releasing a wave of rage in their minds, making them able to take down enemies far beyond their skills. Ryan is one who is able to harness this power. He has yet to use it on command, but when it comes out, he can only do one thing: “Kill whatever is in front of me.”.
TRACKING
All Hellhounds are born with a sense of smell beyond human capabilities. Able to track anything that they have recently wounded. However, Ryan has lost that ability through a battle with his father. Unable to track anything.

Design
- His design is originally based on Bugbears from D&D.
- Many Hellhounds have markings on their fur. Depending on what they have accomplished they are branded with these marks. Ryan has the Mark of the Vigorous.
- Scars are important to Hellhounds and seen as status symbols. The more scars you have, the more you have accomplished in life.
- Hellhounds have 4 fingers, and 5 toes.
Relationships
Taylor of The Oryan
Ryan met Taylor at the Crystal Creek guild. He had a short conversation with Taylor, and he knew that Taylor would be a great asset to have as a party member. He wanted someone who knew what they were capable of. Making it easier to defeat enemies on their way. Both personalities do quite often bounce off, as Ryan is someone who virtue honor, while Taylor prefers scheming and charming others.
Ethan Garnik
Ryan and Ethan met through the Crystal Creek guild. Ethan was at first sight suspicious of Ryan’s heritage. Hating Grathgar as many, Ryan and Ethan could come to term with each other quickly. However Ryan wasn’t really impressed by the attitude of Ethan. Thinking that he was a weakling, challenging him to a battle. Ethan ended up losing but making Ryan change his mind. Letting him join the party.
Grathgar Covault
Ryan’s father. Ryan absolutely hates his father. Scheming and causing commotion among the other countries makes him sick to the stomach. Grathgar believes that Ryan can become an amazing warrior that people should fear, but Ryan is non for that. He wants nothing to do with his father.
