Cove came from the almost untouched and very deep ocean. His family rarely spoke about where they came from, but his culture often spoke about vague stories of ancient waters untouched by sunlight. Cove began collecting lost objects when he was young and developed an attachment to the surface out of curiosity. He began lingering under piers and in hidden coves, watching and listening. Over time, he came to trust a deer that he often saw at the shore (Echo) and approached her, and she gently encouraged him to start coming to shore to experience new things.
