Raleigh Royal Magic Academy
Stella is the Daughter of Avanna Manna, The Headmaster of Raleigh Royal Magic Academy- the most prominent school of Magic in The Northern Kingdom. She was destined to become a student of the Academy from birth, and at first, she was all about it. from a young age, she had a fascination with magic and its many applications, and found herself studying since she could read. However, early on, she and her mother began to clash.
Avanna was a firm believer in magical purity: That elemental magic was clean and accessible, That divine magic was exclusive to those of religious clergy, and that anything otherwise is "dangerous" and "unclean" (especially in regards to dark and demonic magic). Stella... did not agree. She wanted to know everything. After all, one should strive to learn of all that exists- good, bad, or otherwise. This very heavily affected their relationship, but nevertheless, Stella kept to the rules for the most part for her studies. However...
Sybil
Upon Graduating, all aspiring magic-users are assigned a grimoire. This grimoire is a deeply personal artifact, meant to be the place where they may log everything they learn and use throughout their lives. Aside from this, there is something else important: their Familiar. Though other schools may allow the freedom to choose one's partner, Raleigh Royal is different. A ritual is performed at the graduation ceremony, and the student is linked- a permanent bond- to a familiar chosen by fate. This ritual is to ensure that the familiar is perfectly suited to the graduate.
For Stella... her familiar came as a complete surprise. This is when she was eternally bonded to Sybil- a demon under the vice of Lust. There was an uproar. Stella, an alchemist who studied and practiced exclusively practical light magic and alchemy, was fatefully bonded to a demon of dark magic. Avanna was furious, horrified- but deep down, Stella... was excited. This was her opportunity for more- to study and understand something she had been sheltered from for so long. She argued this with her mother- of the opportunity to study this percieved foe- but for this... she was banned from the Academy. Stella and Sybil left- and were now on their own.
Stella's Manna Shoppe
Upon leaving, Stella had an idea. She would be able to prove that her practice, and her extended studies, could improve the kingdom she lived in- possibly even the world at large. She had a dream of knowing more, understanding more, and at the end of the day, teaching more. She wanted the world to see what she saw- opportunity, the chance to grow, everything the stuffy Academy failed to see! And so, she started with a shop, selling magical goods and items in order to fund her further research.
This now, is where she stands- selling potions and charms with her shop assistant, Marisa. However, in her own time... she is learning. Not just about magic, or the world around her- but what it means to feel passion. What it means... to be herself, and not what she was told to be.
