Ashely Viviana Price was born in the more impoverished side of the city, to a very religious father. Her mother passed when she was just a baby, so she doesn't have much remembrance of her. Due to her father's religious beliefs, he was exceptionally strict with Ashley, believing his daughter was sinful. His method of punishment - or as he saw it, making her repent for her sins, was barring her in her room and neglecting her until he felt she 'repented'. When she was six, her younger half-sister was born. However, they didn't have much of a relationship. Despite all this, Ashley grew up to be exceptionally intelligent and got high grades, and graduated with honors. She managed to escape her home at 18, slowly climbing ranks in work, and got a degree in Technology, with minors in Robotics and Engineering. Though she was good at disguising it, Ashley has always had a darker side to her - longing for power and riches. She became a spy of sorts and even invented 'robotic' crows to assist her. Soon, she found herself working for people like the Penguin and mobsters, selling intel and helping them blackmail others. She became Penguin's main accomplice. Once powerful, Ashley desired revenge on her father, in which she found him and slaughtered him in cold blood. Ashley’s main objective is to help Penguin rule Gotham and become mayor, with him promising a small section of Gotham if he succeeds. She uses her intel and spying prowess to get closer to that goal. She also seems to have some form of rivalry with Scarecrow and sometimes corresponds with the Riddler, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn. Despite being perceived as evil, her intentions are somewhat noble, as she wants to take over the poorer sections of Gotham - where she was born, to make it richer, though her way of getting there isn’t as noble.

Ashley is pragmatic, analytical, vengeful, and frighteningly intelligent. She prefers to work behind the scenes, pulling the strings of the city. She's a no-nonsense type of individual and loves being in control. Ashley knows how to use the weak-minded to her advantage and is quite good at manipulation. Despite all these faults, Ashley is still entirely dedicated and loyal, showing her devotion to her predecessors even when they stab her in the back and having a stubborn-like dedication to getting what she wants. She also has a soft spot for the downtrodden and abused, and can show empathy.
