Design Notes:

• Cross between a therizinosaurus and a sloth
• HUGE (therizinosaurus size)
• The tip of her muzzle is a beak
  • Sparkly, heart-shaped nose overlaps her beak
• Long, pointed tongue like a ground sloth
  • Same color as her nose, but not sparkly
• Shaggy fur that often has algae or moss growing in it
• Potato-shaped body and looooong neck
• Can walk on 2 limbs or 4
  • Bipedal stance resembles a therizinosaur
  • Quadrupedal stance resembles a ground sloth (walks on knuckles of hands)
• Arms longer than legs
• 3 giant claws on each hand (which are darker brown than the fluff around them)

Character Notes:

• She'll eat almost any leaf she can reach, but cecropia leaves are her big favorite!
• She spends more time snoozing than awake! Her favorite nap spot is a sunny clearing deep in the forest.
• Her large size and chronic sleepiness sometimes make it hard for her to relate to and interact with mothcats and smaller subspecies, so she mostly keeps to herself aside from a select few loved ones.
• She avoids mothcat towns and large mixed-species gatherings like the plague because she worries she'll accidentally hurt someone or destroy their house!
• She would never actually hurt anyone with her long claws, but she's not above using them for threat displays if someone is bothering her or her small circle of loved ones (especially her partner or their adopted kid). Their primary purpose, however, if to grab hard-to-reach vegetation to munch on.
• Outside of sleeping and eating, one of her favorite activities is going for nice, relaxing swims with her partner, Brady. Although many bodies of water in the area are too small for Xena to properly swim in, so sometimes it's more of a wade or soak than a swim...
• She's hardly an academic (school is too crowded and books are too small), but she knows a lot about plants even if she doesn't always know the scientific terminology for what she knows. Although lately her adopted daughter, Ebony, has been helping her learn the proper botany terms, since they share a love of plants!
