Carbon Monoxide

Carbon is a bat pony from the fabled Hollow Shades. The city was isolated during the war, wanting nothing to do with it. After the bombs fell, the already mysterious and deadly Hollow Forest worsened, no one could enter from the ground or the skies, and so the area was a mystery.

Carbon herself managed to escape with the help of one lucky scavenger. She grew up in a communist area of the Hollow itself, beneath the city. She specializes in environmental sciences/engineering, becoming the area's de facto expert on surviving the environmental hazards that exist above and below. She manages to escape the communist stations, and meets Lucky Shot. Together, with other friends, they escape the Hollow Forest itself. 

She now lives in Caliente with her boyfriend Triple Sec, maintaining the city's life support systems and slowly building it up to be a haven in the desert.
