Despite being born the son of a Waterdhavian nobleman and a well-to-do high elf woman, Aeldyr Northhammond has only known the comfort and luxury of wealth so well. While he has wanted for nothing of material value in all his life, Aeldyr has been ailing since birth, and his condition makes it unlikely he will live to see his full, half-elven lifespan. He has a large, aquilline nose and high cheekbones that together could have made him a perfect blend of human handsomeness and elven elegance, but with his sunken cheeks and sallow skin instead make him look rather much like a bird that is moments away from death. In spite of this, or perhaps because of it, Aeldyr is posessed of a boundless curiosity and a desire to learn and do as much as he can before his time is up.
