Personality

On first impression, Hibana seems fairly aloof, focused on his studies, and not sociable. His social skills are somewhat awkward at best, and distant at worst, so it's very easy for him to come across as cold and unengaging. He's reserved to most, and very private in nature, opening up very little. He's a perfectionist and is often called an overachiever by his peers, particularly when it comes to school. He prefers to play it safe, without antics or distractions, and do the best he can at any given task he puts his mind to.

Once someone becomes more familiar or comfortable with him, though, Hibana can break open to become a very warm, welcoming person. He enjoys the company of people he feels safe with, and will show them more vulnerable parts of himself, like his childish side or emotional side. He has high standards for friends and loved ones, but if you earn a place in his heart, he's more than willing to make room for you. Hibana trusts most those who he feels like he can share deep pieces of himself with without judgment or correction. He enjoys the simple act of existing in a raw state simply because he allows himself those moments so rarely. The experience is somewhat stressful for him, but feels more authentic to him as well.

Hibana is a very purposeful person. He is decisive, focused, and already has an idea of what he wants to accomplish with life. He's not so great with the Until-Then, and can get frustrated when things don't follow the ideal he shapes in his head, particularly if he finds them pointless or inefficient. Even fun and games have their place in this mental system, so that there are some things he's more likely to play and enjoy over others.
