Malachite Thenian comes from a war-torn nation, far far away from the small town he now resides in. He grew up in a communal community as most able-bodied adults went off to help the war effort as soon as they could, this left Malachite and his twin sister, Kyanite, without their parents for most of their childhood..

Life took a tragic turn during an ambush. In a flash of magical energy, Malachite lost his father and their entire troop. Thrown from the hill they were standing on and violently tumbled down into the nearby woods. Terrified and disoriented, Malachite fled deep into the forest. Hours later he realized he was hopelessly lost and unable to find his way back to civilization. For years he wandered the woods, hunting and foraging for survival and honing his natural druidic abilities to protect himself from the elements. As time passed, Malachite became more and more disconnected from the world outside the forest. Though, he also became more in tune with the natural world around him. When he finally emerged from the woods and made contact with other people once again, he found that he was a changed man, partially for the better, mostly for the worst.
