Growing up in Rihtardando, Z’ress was given the best life could offer her from a young age. Born into nobility, she lived with her parents and learned to read, write, and sing from a young age. Her mother even began to teach her the basics of magic and how to cast spells,  while her father taught her how to swordfight. It seemed as if she was going to grow into the brightest her family had seen.

  However, at the tender age of 8, a fire was set to her home. Started by the nobility of the town, the family was trapped inside while the mayor of the town hunted them down. Only Z’ress was able to escape it through a hidden passage, her parents being killed in the pyre. A family friend was able to take the distraught orphan in, and hide her from those who hunted her down. It was here she began to learn the ways of theivery, and an appreciation for all things shiny. She quickly honed her skills, and became adept at pickpocketing, and more.

  Once she was old enough, she was allowed to venture out on her own. She traveled the continent of Fómhiar, earning her scars from the wildlife, and even more of a reputation from her mischevious ways. It wasn’t until she was 19, when she stowed away on a ship and finally left the continent. While she had feared her capture by the mayor of her hometown, she vowed to return when she had the strength to avenge her parents deaths. Until then, she would simply continue to pillage the innocent folk of the next continent.

Appearance

Z’ress has long shoulder length white hair, and bright pink eyes. Her skin is a light grey that is common for most dark elves, and a couple of scars adorn her cheek and lower lip on the right side of her face. She wears a long black leather coat with gold detailing over a a brown tunic. Underneath that she wears a white cotton shirt, and light grey cotton pants that tuck into black leather boots. Her right arm sports an archery bracer, while her left is wrapped in bandages. If one were to look underneath said bandages, they would see her arm is charred and discolored from improper magic use.

Jørn Heimark

Z'ress met Jørn in a Baroquian bar while he drunk, and she swindled him out of his money by convincing him a petty jewel was worth more than it was. The two did not properly introduce themselves until she got caught for her crimes and had to escort Baroque's princess with Jørn as her companion. Though they easily hated each other, the journey forced them close together and they all became fast friends.

Princess Cicily

When Z'ress first met the princess of Baroque, she groaned at the thought of having to escort her around. The princess's loud and bratty attitude rubbed Z'ress the wrong way, as she wondered how the young girl could even be desirable in the first place. Throught their journey to the neighboring kingdom together, Z'ress and Cicily argued quite a bit, however at the end they warmed up towards each other, even if only slightly.
