Profile

Leiauna is the queen of a kingdom called Hakaoh. She is usually a stubborn and hard-headed viscet, but ultimately, she wants what is best for her people. She and her husband were an arranged marriage which she hated but decided to go along with it for the sake of her country. They have a messy relationship and really aren't on good terms. Avel and Leiuana discover that she is unable to have kids, which Avel is very visibly angry about. Later that year, Avel gets back from a hunting trip and brings home a viscling, claiming that he found her abandoned in the mountains. Leiuana is suspicious about this, but she says nothing. Both Leiuana and Avel just tolerate each other in order to make living with one another bearable. As of now, their only child is Synotra (toyhou.se/2963278.synotra), the viscling Avel 'found'. He has taken the task of raising their child to her full potential upon himself, much to his wife's distaste. In her mind, he has imbued Synotra with the cruelty and harshness that comes with being a war general, which becomes more and more visible in her actions and personality as she gets older.

Leiuana also feels out of place and not wanted in her court. Hakaoh has very traditional patriarchy, and she is either dismissed without much notice or ignored completely. She feels she has no power or say when it comes to large decisions and country affairs, even though her parents were the previous king and queen. She is often looked down upon as rather useless, in the way, and unfit for her position. Her husband is the current general of the country's military and because he is, he holds the most authority. Not only that but because he is a male in a powerful position, he sees himself as above all others and refuses to treat others with 'trivial kindness', saying that the only good man is an emotionless battle-hardened one. He shuns Leiuana and treats her miserably, constantly undermining her authority and overriding anything and everything she does. He cannot even stand the thought of a woman being on the same level of power as a man, nevermind himself.

Despite this, Leiuana has gained control of the kingdom for the time being. Her husband, being in control of their military, has gone to confront a threat on one of their borders, leaving her in charge. The people, already nervous about the possibility of impending war, have only continued to rail on the queen, defying her orders and refusing to take her seriously. As the conflict on the border grows worse and worse, the country starts to fall apart from the inside because of the citizens and their refusal to obey laws. Anarchy is on the rise, and while Leiuana desperately tries to find a solution, King Valakr of the opposing kingdom has requested to meet in order to find and propose a way to quell the anger and desire for revenge between both country's people.

Leiuana is a very gentle soul who strives to protect her country and her daughter. While her husband is engaged in war with another nation, she is tasked with holding Hakaoh together on her own. She values family and stability, but despite her efforts, the government is destabilizing and the people are losing faith. Many of her subjects feel that she is not adequate for the role because of her comparatively timid nature, especially next to the impulsive and dangerously powerful king. It is rumored that she is directly descended from a goddess, though this has never been proven.
