Cruor's Links
Sekhmet is powerful, she'll grant her that, but Cruor thinks she's pretty stupid. It's gratifying to see her rage at Cruor's own success.
Cruor is an arrogant little upstart who needs to stay in her lane. She doesn't remember how their heated rivalry started, but it has grown more and more intense the more they competed in jobs. In truth, Sekhmet feels threatened by the idea that there could be someone stronger and more effective than her, that she's getting old and a new generation is rising to replace her. She has been contemplating Cruor's murder.
Rozelle is competent, she'll give her that. She is so terribly prone to rage, though, Cruor can tell. Emotions. It's what led her to get involved with a worthless oaf. It's what holds her back from being a truly great mercenary. That's what Cruor thinks.
Guerra is an acquaintance. They've worked together a handful of times, but they seem to seek Cruor out outside of jobs, as well. It's suspicious.
Pixi has worked with Cruor before, and can't help feel she's seen some terrible things. They know it would probably be best to stay away from her, but something won't let them turn their back.
Merritt is Cruor's apprentice. He's still learning, but he has the potential to be a stone-cold businessperson. Sometimes he gets cold feet, but he always gets over it with enough encouragement. He will be a worthy successor.
Cruor is the greatest mercenary alive, in Merritt's opinion. She's effective and professional, clean and impersonal. Merritt is still a bit squeamish about some of their jobs, his reflex is to want to avoid hurting people, but that's just a weakness that he's learning to overcome with her help. He admires her greatly and wants to become just like her.
