Main summary:
Their country had fallen to war and was slowly crumbling. Erratum and Peccavi had lived in the city where the heart of this war was. It was attempted time and time again to try to keep the fighting under control in the city until it was found there were mass kidnappings and trainings in previously secret campsites. That moment right there marked the beginning of the end of their city.

Before kidnapping:
Erratum had lived in a small home with his mother in the city. The two were struggling just as everyone else was, but somehow managed to make it out alright despite the brewing tensions from the war.

During kidnapping:
Soldiers had raked off men, specifically teens, from the streets and swiped them out of their homes. These men would be cuffed and tossed into the back of a van with only the vague knowledge of what would happen to them. Either train as soldiers or die.

Erratum had been startled by the image of a group of three soldiers busting down the doors of his home and yelling his name. The soldiers found and dragged him. He wriggled within their grip as they struggled to hold on. Both him and his mom were calling out for each other, soon prompted to stop or else they'd kill them both of the spot. His mother had been held back by another soldier as she yelled back to Erratum, "We'll see each other again, Erratum. Please."

Camp and the escape:
Eventually everyone had been sorted, given numbers, and were placed within small cells with one other roommate. Peccavi had been placed with Erratum. Their connection never exceeded more than just slight acquaintances for a brief time. They enjoyed each other's company, but being in a place like that, they never really understood how to get close.

After long enough, the duo had been given special permission to do offsite tasks and train with other soldiers and help them alongside their missions. These missions were hardly enjoyable and would haunt these boys for nights and nights. Nightmares of kidnapping boys from their homes just as they had been. But soon enough, they were set to do something even bigger. Something neither of them had hoped to do. To kill. They had been instructed to kill their first family by raiding their homes. It traumatized them, and after a night of crying they eventually planned for escape.

They'd figured out with the freedom they got on these tasks and the weapons they were lended that they could escape during one of them. On their second planned killing, they'd shot the family dead and later rushed to ransack their items. They stuffed clothing for their future disguises in their bags along with some food and ran.

They had failed to have been caught.

Continuing story:
Peccavi had knowledge of a secret tunnel that led beneath one of the abandoned churches and hid both him and Erratum there. It is there that they took shelter for a couple years and learned to build disguises and lived as the small group of people they'd met there did.

It is from this point on that Erratum begins to delve deeper into sin, each sin committed brings the pair further and further to eventual capture.
