Jael was never fit to be a hero- the only reason they joined up with Team Something was as part of an extension of their contracted relationship with Xifeng. Still, as is often the case of bastards with secret hearts of gold, they got attached to the other members of the team, despite any rocky starts. They ended up putting an effort into doing what they thought was right, even when that meant abandoning the team and going on the run as a fugitive. Unfortunately, things ended up not quite working out for them...
