One of the two protagonists, alongside Jax. Patrick AKA Patty was Jax's roommate in university, where the two became close friends. Patrick is an avid scholar in archaeology and was taking on an apprenticeship in Lazuli when Jax pulled her away to help solve his murder. Despite being completely underqualified for detective work (a fact she points out often), she loves her friend and goes out of her way to help him regardless. Patty is bookish but confident when interacting with others, she can just get carried away in whatever it is she's focusing on at a given time.
